Main Translation

Translation Lucius Petronius Primus, son of Lucius, is buried here.

A beloved wife made (this) monument for (her) loving husband: I would have preferred to die in the hands of my spouse; but because the fates seized him in all too unjust a time, I pray that the pious earth be light upon your bones.
