Main Translation

Translation Florus, slave of Publius Vedius Germanus, son of Publius, of the Fabian tribe, aged 26, lies here. His owner had (sc. this monument) made in recognition of his merits. Neither marriage nor wedding nor bridal bed I got to see: at this roadside stele I lie bedded. –– Greetings, Florus! –– Greetings to you, too, stranger, whoever you are!
