Main Translation

Translation Oh, how hard the Fate was on you, Paternus, sending you to Tartarus at such a young age. You were only allowed to see the light for thirty years. But if the sisters had spun the thread of your life longer, this monument would have encompassed your father's bones more fairly. But whoever actually wants to open this sarcophagus has to bring a pound of gold into the treasury.
