Further Information

Comment

Dating proposed by Alföldy, Gimeno Pascual and del Hoyo (CIL 02 [2nd ed.]). Hübner proposes a dating to the end of the 1st century AD, though providing no criteria. Hailey considers the reign of Hadrian as a terminus post quem for the inscription, based on the D(is) M(anibus) formula and the abbreviated name Ael(io). Caballos Hornero proposes a dating to the 3rd century AD, though providing no criteria.
