Decoration and Iconography | Taurobolic altar with moulded base and pulvinus, surmounted by a pediment terminating in pulvini decorated with rosettes. Inscription on the front, with praescriptum inscribed on the pediment and part of the postscriptum inscribed on the pedestal. Erased relief of a libation vase on the right side, relief of a patera on the left side. |

Pediment: To the Manes of the underworld. I did not exist. I did, I remember. I do not exist any more. I do not care. I, Donnia Italia, twenty years of age, rest here. Sminthius and Donnia. Pedestal: Calliste (i.e. dedicated this monument) to their most devoted freedwoman. |
