Quinto Aeronio Firmino defuncto annorum XIIII mensium IIII Quintus Aeronius Crescens Caetrania Firma parentes filio pientissimo libertis libertabusque suis. Invida Parcarum series livorque malignus bis septena mea ruperunt stamina lucis parcite iam lachrimis miseri solique parentes sat fletus vestros prima favilla bibit corpus habent cineres animam sacer abstu lit aer.

To Quintus Aeronius Firminus, died at the age of 14 years and 4 months, the parents Quintus Aeronius Crescens and Caetrania Firma to their most devoted son and to their freedmen and freedwomen. The envious group of the Parcae and their hateful evil broke the fourteen threads of my life. Stop crying, unhappy and lonely parents; my glowing ashes have already drunk enough of your tears. My body has turned to ashes and the sacred air has taken away my soul.
