Βιήσι· Ἦ Πομπειανὴ, φί λον οὔνομα τοῖς μὲ μαθοῦσιν· ❦ Ἀσσυρίης φορέουσα κλυ τῆς γένος Ἀντιοχείης· τεχθεῖσ᾽ ἐν Ῥώμῃ βασι λεΐδι μητέρι πάντων, ζήσασ᾽ ἤματα τεσσαρά κοντ᾽ ἐπὶ πέντ᾽ ἐνιαυτοῖς, ἐνθάδ᾽ ἔπαυσα δέμας· τόδε γὰρ Μοίρασιν ἔδοξεν· χαίροις ὅστις ἀνέγνω κας μνήσαιο τ᾽ ἐμεῖο ❦

(A poem by) Biesius (?). I was Pompeiane, a name dear to those who have got to know me. I brought with me famous Assyria’s lineage of Antiochia: born in imperial Rome, the mother of all, I lived forty days beyond five years, then I put my body to rest here: thus the Fates decreed. May you greet me, whoever you are to have read this – and may you keep me in your memory.

(Versi) di Biesius. Ero Pompeiana, nome caro a coloro che mi conobbero. Portando con me la stirpe dell’inclita Antiochia di Siria, essendo stata generata a Roma regina, madre di tutti, avendo vissuto cinque anni e quaranta giorni, qui ho dato riposo al corpo; questo infatti sembrò giusto alle Moire. Sta’ bene, chiunque tu sia che hai letto, e ricordati di me.

(Gedicht) des Biesius. Ich war Pompeiane, ein lieber Name für die, die mich kannten. Ich brachte die Abstammung des berühmten Antiocheia in Assyria, mit, wurde [im] kaiserlichen Rom, der Mutter von allem, geboren, lebte 5 Jahre und 40 Tage und brachte hier zur Ruhe den Körper. [Denn] dies beschlossen die Moiren. Du mögest mich grüßen, wer auch immer du das liest, und meiner [gedenken].
